Scheduling your return is easy and can be done from your customer dashboard. We ask that you schedule a return 7 days before you want your car to be picked up. After scheduling your return with us, one of our delivery agents will meet you at the address you provide.
Need to make a change? No problem. As long as you’ve already scheduled your return 7 days in advance, you can make changes in your dashboard.
As for the return appointment itself, you must be present for the return. The car must have at least ¾ of a tank of gas in it, and we will need you to return all keys given at the time of delivery. We want to make sure our customers are happy with the condition of the cars they receive, so it's important to return the car in a similar condition as when it was delivered. Remember—no smoking in the car. You're free to bring your pets with you in the car, but if the car needs professional cleaning to remove pet hair, we may contact you about additional payment for this cleaning.
A typical process looks like this:
A Canvas agent will meet you at a previously designated address and check your ID (Sorry—your friends or family won’t be able to complete the return for you).
During your scheduled return, a Canvas delivery agent will conduct an initial inspection on the vehicle with you to identify any possible new damage. Your Canvas agent will then take the car to the warehouse for its final inspection to determine the condition of the car. Any additional repair costs will be added to your final close-out invoice.
